I did this over the Christmas holidays, and after my break was over I thought I would open a file I had previously been working on in Illustrator 64 bit, I got your 0xc000007b error and was pretty confused to why I also could not open Premier Pro, Speedgrade, I contacted support who wanted me to create separate user accounts and all sorts of in effective suggestions, I sent them my spec, they failed to contact me over the last month, so I did some research and found that iLivid player overwrites certain registry entries and causes problems, fortunately for me, I was able to restore my system to prior to the iLived player installation and everything works fine illustrator fails to load some plugins, but they all appear to be in place when it is open. I had the same issue, I tried everything, even contacted tech support and was told my system was not powerful enough, strange as it was ok with CS5 64bit, so I upgraded my pc now with mega overkill 32Gb ram SSD primary drive ATI Raedeon 2Gb graphics card, and everything worked and worked well, I also use my PC for recreational TV I like to watch live football, and as I had already installed a iLivid player on my old PC thought nothing of reinstalling when prompted.

We also offer a lot of in-between sizes you won’t find elsewhere, like 1g (equal to 7mm). provides business valuation, capital equipment appraisal, and asset acquisition and liquidation management services for the steel and metal industry. (Plus, you don’t have to reduce fractions in millimeters!)Īll of our jewelry is marked in both gauge size and in millimeters, so you’ll know exactly what size you’re getting. But when you stretch from 2g to 0g, that’s 2 millimeters - twice as a big of a jump!įor these two reasons, it’s often a good idea to use millimeters instead of gauges and inches when stretching. For instance, 8g to 6g is a stretch of 1 millimeter. The feeler gauge leaves check the thickness of slots, gaps, and alignment each leaf is marked with thickness. The tapered-width gauge is designed for measuring hole and slot widths and diameters. Gauges are also tricky when it comes to stretching, because you’re not stretching the same amount every time. These sets combine a wire gauge, a tapered-width feeler gauge, and a set of feeler gauges for tight spots in one tool. Depending on the brand or jewelry, one 0g pair of plugs may be slightly smaller or larger than another 0g pair. With body jewelry, gauges aren’t an exact standardized measurement. That’s why the larger the number is, the thinner and smaller the actual measurement is. For example, a 10 gauge wire had been pulled through 10 holes, so it was much thinner than a 1 gauge wire, which was just pulled through one. The gauge measuring system was created based on the number of holes the wire was pulled through. A thick wire might be pulled through one hole, while a thin wire might have to be pulled through a dozen times, getting thinner and thinner each time. It’s been in use for hundreds of years, at least since the 1700s.īack then, wire was often made thinner by pulling it through smaller and smaller holes. Gauges are neither standard nor metric and the values are independent of those measurement systems. The gauge system was first created for measuring the thickness of wire (like electrical wiring or structural cables). (And you probably thought in school you’d never have any use for learning fractions!) The sizes go up by 1 sixteenth of an inch from there, but they’re reduced fractions, so instead of 8/16", we just say 1/2". 00g is equal to about 3/8 of an inch.Īfter 00g, we run out of gauge sizes, so we use fractions of an inch instead. When you get to 0g, the next size is 00g (pronounced “double zero gauge"). Gauge sizes go up (or down, depending on how you look at it) in even numbers from there, so the next largest size from an 18g is 16g, then 14g, then 12g, and so on. Standard ear piercings are usually pierced at 20g or 18g. Gauge sizes are a little counterintuitive at first, because they’re literally backwards: the smaller the number, the larger the size. In the United States, the gauge system is much more common than millimeter measurements. (Gauge is pronounced to rhyme with “mage" or “sage.") There are two main systems of measuring body jewelry sizes: Body jewelry sizing is a little tricky at first glance, but it’s easy once you understand the gauge system! Now unlike other stuff packs, Paranormal brings a new lot type into the game called haunted house. There are about three clothing items in each main category of dress, top, pants, hair, hats, shoes and accessory for kids and adults in the game, but with all the cool supernatural inspired stuff in the pack, I would think they could have added more and more spooky and creative clothing items into the pack. Though the clothing items in the pack aren’t very plentiful and are lacking compared to the other stuff packs released in the past. The build objects have many cool things added to the game and, in my opinion, have a New Orleans feel. Paranormal pack is a stuff pack though, so it should be more heavily made with clothing and build pieces than actual game play unlike the game pack that is more activity based and the expansion pack which is given a new world with each pack. Besides that, there is no real game play in the pack. Coming with the sim on jobs is fun for a little, but when you’re there it’s harder for them to do their jobs because they keep getting the scared emoticon. At nine at night your Sims will be asked to travel alone to their job or you can come with them and help them out. As a freelance investigator, you choose a job every night as an easy, medium or hard level for getting rid of ghosts. Once you max out the medium skill, you can get your Paranormal Investigator License from Claude René Duplantier Guidr with the Federal Bureau of Spooky Investigation and become a freelance investigator. With the medium skill you can take on the form of a ghost or summon a bunch of specters at once. The new job available is ghost hunting which you can only get after leveling up the medium skill. Unlike most stuff packs Paranormal doesn’t just come with clothing and building materials but also new jobs and activities. This stuff pack is $9.99 and, for what it is, I’d say it’s fairly good. Now most people are in the middle of whether the pack is good or not, and in my opinion it is worth the $10. On Jan 26, the Sims came out with the new Paranormal pack which is all about ghosts. If you haven’t tried Analog Lab before, I suggest giving it a go in my opinion, Arturia’s collection delivers some of the best free virtual instrument sounds available. In one last bit of news, Analog Lab V will become Analog Lab Pro with this new update. V Collection is available on Gear for 24.99/mo, and you can try it for free for three days. While it’s a little over twice the price of Analog Lab (which it includes), it’ll allow more complete control for each synth. Analog Lab Play features 100 new presets from the flagship V Collection and Pigments. We’d recommend V Collection if you’re a synth enthusiast and want to dive deep into the sound design of each instrument. Of course, as beneficial as a sleek new interface is, we need some new sounds, too, and we get everything from trap bass to ambient synth pads. I’ve been a fan of Analog Lab for a while, and I think it was always pretty user-friendly anyway, but the Play View will be great for beginners and anyone who spends more time trying to craft the perfect sound than playing. As part of the release day announcement, Arturia also revealed that existing Analog Lab V and Intro users would get a free update, giving them access to the minimalist Play View within their current version. The concept behind Analog Lab Play is in the name it’s about playing, immediate access, and immediate creativity.Īlthough Analog Lab Play is a freebie, it seems that Arturia is heavily invested in the Play concept. This simplified approach might reduce some elements of complete control for some users, but a simple approach often gives us more creative freedom as we’re less likely to get in our own way. The simplified GUI features only the most essential macro controls for each preset, and like previous versions, browsing presets is easy. With that in mind, the question is, why do we need another version? Well, the new simplified interface appears to hold the answer.Īrturia designed Analog Lab Play’s minimalist interface to provide quick and intuitive control over every sound. Given its popularity, I’m sure most of you know that this latest release isn’t the first free version on offer.Īnalog Lab Intro is a free, downsized version of Analog Lab V typically bundled with Arturia MIDI keyboard controllers (before that, it was Analog Lab Lite). The most significant news is the release of Analog Lab Play, a free and simplified version of Arturia’s virtual keyboard/synth collection.Īnalog Lab has been around for years (in various versions), and it remains a go-to source of authentic vintage keyboard/synth sounds for many musicians. On 31st October 2023, Arturia introduced a few important additions and updates to the Analog Lab family. Maybe for the time being, the only way to get the new GUI is downloading and installing the free version I guess, but I haven't tried that.Arturia introduces Analog Lab Play, a FREE version of the production-standard Analog Lab plugin. I couldn't find a setting to change the GUI to the new Play Mode though. Marc Houle's Signature: (does not seem to work with the url, but will show up if you apply the filters)Īnd of course the free Analog Lab presets:Īnd for a limited time free (another 9 days) on VstAlarm (I think it has already been posted here before), Orchid: Īnd finally Vicious Antelope has many free Arturia (and others) presets: Not sure if the Analog Lab Play freebie installs the Modern Lab sound pack.Īwesome find, I installed it immediately!Īlso, just in case it was unknown, presets from other Arturia instruments also work with Analog Lab, so if you go to sounds, then press FREE (first filter option) and then select every instrument except MatrixBute, MicroFreak and PolyBrute Connect, you get a list with free presets that are compatible with Analog Lab. For those unfamiliar with Arturia's Analog Lab Sound Expansion Packs and where to find them "Essai d'une manière de déterminer les masses relatives des molécules élémentaires des corps, et les proportions selon lesquelles elles entrent dans ces combinaisons". Later standardization of the International System of Units led to the modern definition of the Avogadro constant. Perrin named the number to honor Avogadro for his discovery of the namesake law. At the same time, precision experiments by Jean Baptiste Perrin led to the definition of the Avogadro number as the number of molecules in one gram-molecule of oxygen. In 1910, Millikan's oil drop experiment determined the charge of the electron using it with the Faraday constant (derived by Michael Faraday in 1834), one is able to determine the number of particles in a mole of substance. His calculation gave rise to the concept of the Loschmidt constant, a ratio between macroscopic and atomic quantities. Thanks to this discovery, Johann Josef Loschmidt, in 1865, was able for the first time to estimate the size of a molecule. At the end of the 19th century, later developments from scientists like August Krönig, Rudolf Clausius, James Clerk Maxwell and Ludwig Boltzmann, gave rise to the kinetic theory of gases, a microscopic theory from which the ideal gas law can be derived as an statistical result from the movement of atoms/molecules in a gas.Īvogadro's law provides a way to calculate the quantity of gas in a receptacle. He explained that these exceptions were due to molecular dissociations at certain temperatures, and that Avogadro's law determined not only molecular masses, but atomic masses as well.īoyle, Charles and Gay-Lussac laws, together with Avogadro's law, were combined by Émile Clapeyron in 1834, giving rise to the ideal gas law. This apparent contradiction was finally resolved by Stanislao Cannizzaro, as announced at Karlsruhe Congress in 1860, four years after Avogadro's death. Nevertheless, related experiments with some inorganic substances showed seeming exceptions to the law. Įxperimental studies carried out by Charles Frédéric Gerhardt and Auguste Laurent on organic chemistry demonstrated that Avogadro's law explained why the same quantities of molecules in a gas have the same volume. As Ampère was more well known in France, the hypothesis was usually referred there as Ampère's hypothesis, and later also as Avogadro–Ampère hypothesis or even Ampère–Avogadro hypothesis. In 1814, independently from Avogadro, André-Marie Ampère published the same law with similar conclusions. The hypothesis was first published by Amadeo Avogadro in 1811, and it reconciled Dalton atomic theory with the "incompatible" idea of Joseph Louis Gay-Lussac that some gases were composite of different fundamental substances (molecules) in integer proportions. Historical account and influence Īvogadro's hypothesis (as it was known originally) was formulated in the same spirit of earlier empirical gas laws like Boyle's law (1662), Charles's law (1787) and Gay-Lussac's law (1808). If T and P are taken at standard conditions for temperature and pressure (STP), then k′ = 1/ n 0, where n 0 is the Loschmidt constant. For comparing the same substance under two different sets of conditions, the law can be usefully expressed as follows: This law describes how, under the same condition of temperature and pressure, equal volumes of all gases contain the same number of molecules. k is a constant for a given temperature and pressure.n is the amount of substance of the gas (measured in moles). In practice, real gases show small deviations from the ideal behavior and the law holds only approximately, but is still a useful approximation for scientists. As an example, equal volumes of gaseous hydrogen and nitrogen contain the same number of molecules when they are at the same temperature and pressure, and observe ideal gas behavior. The law is named after Amedeo Avogadro who, in 1812, hypothesized that two given samples of an ideal gas, of the same volume and at the same temperature and pressure, contain the same number of molecules. A modern statement is:Īvogadro's law states that "equal volumes of all gases, at the same temperature and pressure, have the same number of molecules." įor a given mass of an ideal gas, the volume and amount (moles) of the gas are directly proportional if the temperature and pressure are constant. The law is a specific case of the ideal gas law. \]Īs long as the units mole cancel, N A is being used correctly.Relationship between volume and amount of a gas at constant temperature and pressureĪvogadro's law (sometimes referred to as Avogadro's hypothesis or Avogadro's principle) or Avogadro-Ampère's hypothesis is an experimental gas law relating the volume of a gas to the amount of substance of gas present. There is a hybrid back and side sleeper pillow sold by pillow cube, so if you alternate between back and side sleeping then I recommend checking that pillow out for the best experience. Pillow for Side Sleepers (15×12×6inch) Cube Memory Foam Pillow, Side Sleeper Pillow for Neck and Shoulder Pain,Square Cervical Pillow for Shoulder Pain Relief Sleeping. I sleep hot and and was worried heat may be an issue, so I purchased the ice cube pillow. The pillow is firm but soft, so ear pain isn’t an issue either. After a few nights I began to have better sleep posture and by the end of the first week it felt completely natural sleeping on the pillow cube. My shoulders were square, my collar bone wasn’t collapsed and my neck had support the entire night. SIZE MATTERS - Most side sleepers love a 5. It was a bit odd switching to the pillow cube at first, because I was learning how I should have been sleeping all along. Pillow Cube is the pillow created specifically to support side sleepers in their search for a better nights sleep. Throughout the day I would feel like my neck needed to pop and my head pulled upward to relieve pressure at the base of my skull. This would impact my shoulder, collar bone and upper back with slight but annoying persistent pain. Even if you throw in the case for the Pro, it’s still 10 cheaper than the Side-Sleeper plus case. By contrast, the Pillow Cube Classic sells for just 60, while the larger Pillow Cube Pro still beats out Eli & Elm’s model with a price tag of 100. As the night would go on, my old pillows would collapse or slide upwards away from my neck. The Side-Sleeper retails for 120 by itself, and 135 with a pillowcase. I never realized how much I collapsed my should and collar bone to lay on my old pillows to get neck support. I am 6’ 4” and exclusively a side sleeper. Let me start with I’m very happy I purchased the Pillow Cube. In short, I love this option but if the USPS employees are gonna keep being stupid I don't know what else I can do but switch. I'm about to go out to another office again in a day or so and this time my bubble mailers state on the side: "this is a non-machinable envelope with a non-machinable fee of 15 cents" Another I sent from the first office with the Forever Stamp and a 15 cent just got back to me today telling me I need 3.30 worth of postage. On the other hand the first one I sent from a normal drop-off box as a test with 3 USA Forever stamps to be safe got sent back telling me I needed 2.15 of postage. A couple went straight through, no issues. But even dealing with the offices I'm sending from, the local offices I'm sending to also have wildly inconsistent responses. Another guy at a different office told me it was too big to be an envelope (even though it literally slid through his tester before out very eyes) and said it'd be a dollar okay two USA Forever stamps, fine. The first guy I took them to was quite nice and said that all I needed for the non-machinable surcharge was a 15 cent stamp on top of a USA Forever 55 cent one, easy. The unfortunate thing is, however, is that most USPS employees apparently have no idea how to deal with the bubble mailers. The only technical difference between them and other envelopes should be that its non-machinable (so has to be hand sorted) and has an additional fee on top. They are within the dimensions and weight of envelopes (just barely, cards are light and flat after all) and make me feel comfortable mailing cards as opposed to straight envelopes which I'm afraid will mess up cards when fed through the sorting machine. I've recently begun selling my cards online, in order to have competitive prices while still making a profit I decided to buy and use a pack of 4圆 bubble mailers, I got the idea from another forum. In most cases follow-ups to check the progress of the cyst will be the extent of treatment, until further intervention is warranted.Īnother useful diagnostic method called angiography can also be used for viewing problems in the posterior of the eye, such as detachment of the retina and abnormal blood vessels in the eye. Cysts do not always behave uniformly: some grow, while others shrink. In the case of iris cysts, ultrasound will help your doctor determine if the mass behind the iris is in fact a cyst or a tumor. Abnormalities within the eye, meanwhile, will be examined with an indirect ophthalmoscope and/or a slitlamp biomicroscope.Īn ultrasound of the eyes may also reveal problems with the lens of the eyeball, the vitreous humor (the clear fluid which fills the space between the lens and retina), the retina, or other problems that are taking place in the posterior (back) segment of the eye. If high pressure in the eye (glaucoma) is suspected, a diagnostic tool called a tonometer will be applied to your dog's eye to measure its internal pressure. Repeat on the broad edge and the remaining narrow edge. Rotate the pencil 90 degrees, and repeat the process on the adjacent edge. Shave the wood off so that at the end of the stroke, the utility knife’s blade is just about parallel with the pencil’s lead. With the blade square to the body of the pencil, use your thumb to push the blade forward. To sharpen the pencil, start on the broad surface with the knife blade 5⁄8 inch to ¾ inch away from the end. This also allows you more control over the shape of the tip and how much lead you want exposed. Made in the USA, RazorScribe® is a must-have tool for finish carpenters and cabinet installers. With 8 offsets in 1/16 increments, achieve a sure-fire flush fit despite the irregularity of the surface. I prefer to sharpen these pencils the way most carpenters do: with a utility knife. Simple to use, this multiple offset scribe tool uses a blade to score a distinct line for accurate and easy removal of material. Thomas HenggeĪlthough there are dedicated carpenter pencil sharpeners, it’s another gadget to own, get lost, or break. Simply strike the arch or the circle’s circumference by spinning the stick around on the screw’s pivot point. Position the pencil where you want to mark the arch or the circle’s circumference, then tap the drywall screw tip into the wood using a hammer. To do this, put your index finger behind the pencil and strike the mark by running the pencil along the square’s edge. Typically, carpenters drop these pencils into their nail bag tip first so that they can pluck them out and strike a quick line. In these cases, you mark the cutline with a square and a carpenter pencil. Some crosscuts are so rough and ready that a carpenter simply makes a tick mark on the lumber with a pencil (and no square) and cuts on the mark with a circular saw. The most common use for a carpenter pencil is marking crosscuts and framing positions.
